iStar sCMOS Demo Video: Internally Triggering

Abstract

Often researchers would like to control acquisition timing of either the iStar sCMOS from software, or additionally, several pieces of advanced instrumentation with the Digital Delay Generator (DDG) of an iStar intensified camera. This can allow for complex synchronisation between instrumentation in the lab down to the ~ns time scale. Watch this video to learn how to internally trigger an iStar in several different ways.

Learning Objectives

  • Introduce users to how to connect coaxial SMA cables to monitor iStar internal timing and to trigger other equipment with the iStar.
  • Understand how the timing of the different components of the iStar relate to each other during acquisitions.
  • Provide background needed to understand internal trigger timing diagrams of different kinds.
