Solving Sensitivity at Speed in sCMOS Cameras

Many scientific imaging or spectroscopy experiments, spanning life and physical sciences, require not only high sensitivity detectors, but also higher speed detectors to follow more accurately both quantitative (photometric) and spatial dynamic changes. However, traditional CCD cameras struggle in this regard, compromising noise floor and sensitivity when sensor readout speed is increased to achieve faster frame rates.

In this series of educational webinars, Product Manager Dr Colin Coates is going to present two important scientific camera technologies that are designed primarily to tackle the challenge of offering superb sensitivity AND very rapid sensor readout combined: Electron Multiplying CCDs (EMCCDs) and Scientific CMOS (sCMOS).
