Exploring the Unseen: The Science and Applications of SWIR Imaging

Short Wave InfraRed (SWIR), or Near InfraRed II (NIR-II) imaging, opens a new window into the unseen, pushing the boundaries of visible light. SWIR imaging is mainly enabled thanks to Indium Gallium Arsenide (InGaAs) sensors. Their detection window ranging from 0.9 to 1.7 µm benefits researchers in various fields, from the observation of celestial bodies, to non-invasive bioimaging looking deeper into the tissues with an outstanding contrast.

Additionally, SWIR imaging has numerous applications in industry including high temperature processes, plastic sorting, and wafer inspection, … In this webinar, we will delve into the fundamentals of InGaAs sensors for SWIR imaging and provide a broad panel of applications. SWIR imaging not only unveils the unseen, it redefines the way we explore, we discover, we innovate.
