Revolution Upgrade

The Revolution system of spinning disk systems were produced between 2006 and 2016, a huge step up in performance at the time and still a very capable platform, hundreds of researchers continue to use them to this day. These systems had a nearly infinite number of configurations for different applications; mainly live imaging applications.

While Andor continues to support the platform, some components are now difficult or impossible to source, and therefore, it will soon be increasingly difficult for current users to keep their systems running.

At Oxford Instruments – Andor want to ensure that researchers have a path to keep using a system they trust, and as such, we have developed a program to reward our loyal Revolution customers. We are now offering an upgrade option, allowing you to trade in your Revolution system and upgrade to the latest system capability.

What are the Upgrade Options?

Revolution customers may trade in their system against a new BC43 system. The BC43 system is Oxford Instruments benchtop confocal system, a completely integrated 4 line spinning disk high performance microscope.

The only microscope on the market with a performance specification equaling or bettering any spinning disk system on the market and a full quality control program to support researchers in their quest to ensure high quality repeatable life science research.

How Does the Upgrade Process Work?

During the installation of your new system your Revolution system will be decommissioned and returned to Belfast for recycling and disposal, any non Andor components – incubators, stands, cameras etc will of course remain with you.
