You may have seen our latest “product”; the OI Rover, a Mars exploration concept featuring two sCMOS cameras for eyes.

As much as we’d like to say we’ve entered the space robotics market… this one is just for April Fools’. What is real, however, is our expertise in astronomical imaging.

Oxford Instruments provides a range of high-performance cameras used in demanding applications, including astronomy, deep-space observation, and advanced research environments.

So while the OI Rover won’t be heading to Mars any time soon, the technology behind it is already helping researchers explore everything from distant galaxies to transient cosmic events.
